Housing for the Arts

Through the integration of an arts program and community spaces, this housing complex develops a social ecosystem. The ground level contains public programs such as art classes, gallery and retail space, and community center. The apartments implement the strategy of pixelation to generate both public and private spaces in which art and activity are fostered. The building integrates mural walls as a form of “plastic integration” and to reinforce the community’s ownership of the building.
